One of the main reasons that Trump has reportedly been banned from attending the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was his intention to become the center of attention and turn the beautiful wedding ceremony into something like some of his notorious Trump rallies.
There was speculation that Trump would sort of “hijack” the wedding and try to hog the limelight using any gimmicks possible.
“He doesn’t like being snubbed and wants to be the center of attention all the time,” Wolff said to the Mail on Sunday. “Trump’s foreign policy doctrine is simple: you Brits suck up to him and enlist in whatever geopolitical fantasy he has going, he’ll give you what you want – though only if it doesn’t hurt him.
Already, his supporters have taken it personal and are already writing endlessly on blogs that Trump should refuse to sign a trade deal with the UK as punishment for not giving him a special invite to the wedding.
“It’s a very sensitive subject but really reasonable that Trump shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the Royal Wedding. This is not a political event, it is a wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and they should be allowed to invite whoever they want and not be pressured to invite people they don’t want to attend,” said Mary Effrage, a British journalist who has written extensively about the Royal family.
Besides the wedding, Trump not welcome in Britain; millions of Britons would pour onto the streets of London to protest against if he set foot in the country and that would cause chaos if he was to attend the wedding. The last thing anyone wants is millions of protesters turning up at the Royal wedding!
