Dr. Robert Jeffress, an Evangelical preacher and one of Donald Trump’s informal advisors has said that the Bible gives President Trump the moral authority to attack North Korea using any means possible.
Reverend Dr Jeffress , of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, said a passage about government leaders in Romans 13 gives Trump the moral authority to use whatever force necessary to remove threats to humanity like Kim Jong Un.
“For he is the servant of God: An avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrong doer,” he quoted from the scripture.
Jeffress also claimed that many American Christians would agree with Trump to attack North Korea.
Evangelical Christians are said to have a strong hold on trump and were behind his surprise victory in the 2016 US Presidential elections.
Trump has threatened to attack and unleash damage to North Korea like the world has never seen before which means Trump would be planning to unleash eve worse nuclear bombs than those the US dropped on Japan in 1945 towards the end of the Second World War.
The cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were flattened, totally destroyed and hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives.
America has since developed even more powerful bombs than those dropped on Japan in 1945 and should Trump start a nuclear war, the consequences would be catastrophic. The whole of North Korea and its inhabitants could be destroyed completely.
China and Japan have called for calm and are pushing for the Trump-North Korea crisis to be solved diplomatically.
Senator John McCain also that he does not agree with the way Trump is handling the North Korea situation. McCain says Trump should involve China and the situation should be solved diplomatically.
