Trump in Poland stepped up his attacks on former US President Barack Obama, blaming him for the 2016 Presidential election hacking by the Russians, claiming that Obama failed to act on information given by the US intelligence agencies because he believed Hillary Clinton was going to win.
But in a bizarre contradiction, Trump then went on to discredit the US intelligence agencies, saying the information they had was not conclusive enough to claim Russian hackers targeted the 2016 elections. He then eloquently singled out the US intelligence agencies and pointed out their great historical mistake and factual error, saying that before the invasion of Iraq, the US intelligence agencies convinced everyone in America that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
“The US intelligence agencies were wrong and it led to a mess,” he said of the disastrous invasion of Iraq.
On Russia, Trump said that Russia alone shouldn’t be blamed for the cyber attacks on the US elections and claimed that other countries were involved. His claim could be a new conspiracy and completely opposite to the official US intelligence reports which have so far concluded that all attacks came largely from Russia. He did not supply the names of the other countries involved or give the source of his information.
