Trump Has Blocked Veterans Group On Twitter, Ignoring Warning From Columbia University

Trump has blocked a Veterans group that represents over 500,000 US Military veterans and their families after they disagreed with him on social media.

“The Commander in Chief can block @VoteVets, the voice of 500k military veterans and families, but we will NOT be silenced,” VoteVets.org wrote on Twitter, including a screenshot that shows Trump had blocked the organization’s account.

According MSN, the Veterans group has in the past criticised Trump on his budget cuts and how the cuts will affect low income families. The Veteran group also criticised Trump and the Republicans for repealing the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care)

Trump is increasingly facing trouble with Twitter. While he uses the Social media platform to critise, taunt, even bully his advesaries, he does not tolerate any kind of criticism and prefers to be surrounded by “Yes men” according to Political analysts.

Columbia University has already written to Trump and warned him that he can not block his followers as his Twitter account is a Public Communication platform between President and the American public.

Legal experts claim Trump could claim that he is using his personal account @realDonaldTrump and therefore he can block whoever he wants but Communication experts and lawyers have said that in that case, he will be required to use the official @POTUS for any official or political communications. If he uses his personal account for Official communications, then all tweets sent and shared are in the public domain and he can not block anyone.

Trump is expected to sue Columbia University over his latest Twitter problems.
